Thanksgiving Dinner
at Disney World With Kids

KidsParkGuide.com · Disney

Where to find a turkey dinner in the parks, at the resorts, and nearby in the Disney bubble, sorted by whether you need a reservation or can just walk up.

You can absolutely have Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World without leaving the Disney bubble. One restaurant serves a Thanksgiving-style feast every day of the year, the resorts and Disney Springs add special turkey menus on the holiday, and resort food courts have served a no-reservation turkey plate. The catch is timing: Thanksgiving tables book up early, and the parks are busy all week.

This guide sorts the best options into two groups: the ones you need to book, and the ones you can walk up to. Disney announces some holiday menus late, so where 2026 details aren’t out yet, we tell you what was served last year and mark it that way. Thanksgiving is Thursday, November 26, 2026.

Reservations are already open. Disney dining opens 60 days out, so Thanksgiving tables have been bookable since late September. Check often for cancellations.

Lunch is easier to book than dinner. A midday turkey meal also leaves the evening for fireworks or an early bedtime.

You don’t need a reservation to eat turkey. Disney resort food courts have served a turkey dinner plate on Thanksgiving Day.

The Swan books separately. The Thanksgiving buffet at the Walt Disney World Swan is reserved through the Swan and Dolphin, not My Disney Experience.

When to Book Thanksgiving Dinner at Disney World

Disney opens dining reservations 60 days ahead. If you’re staying at a Disney resort hotel, you can book your whole stay, up to 10 nights, starting 60 days before you arrive. That means Thanksgiving reservations opened in late September.

If your first choice is gone, don’t give up. Holiday reservations change hands as families adjust plans, so check again often, especially two or three days before. On the day, the walk-up waitlist in the My Disney Experience app can turn up a table, and a less popular time like 11 a.m. or 3:30 p.m. is far easier to find than 6 p.m. Keep in mind that restaurants inside a park require park admission for that day.

Pro Tip

Thanksgiving lunch is the sweet spot with kids. You get the same turkey and sides, prices are often lower than dinner, and nobody is melting down at a late table during one of the busiest weeks of the year.

Thanksgiving Meals That Need a Reservation

These are the sit-down options worth booking. Prices listed are per person before tax and tip, and Disney’s child price covers ages 3 to 9. Kids under 3 eat free from an adult’s plate at buffets and family-style meals.

01 Liberty Tree Tavern: Thanksgiving Dinner Every Day

Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square serves an all-you-care-to-enjoy, family-style feast all year: roasted turkey, pot roast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and toffee cake for dessert. It’s the most reliable Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World because the menu doesn’t change for the holiday. Last fall it ran about $45 per adult and $24 per child.

Because it’s served family-style, picky eaters can stick to mac and cheese and refills are free. The Diamond Horseshoe, also in Liberty Square, serves a similar all-you-care-to-enjoy frontier feast if Liberty Tree is booked.

02 Garden Grill: Turkey With Mickey and Chip ‘n’ Dale

Garden Grill in EPCOT’s The Land pavilion is a character meal with Mickey, Chip ‘n’ Dale, and usually Pluto, and lunch and dinner include family-style rotisserie turkey. The restaurant slowly rotates, which kids love. Current prices are about $62 per adult and $42 per child at lunch and dinner. It’s the easiest way to get turkey and characters in one booking.

03 Hollywood & Vine: Minnie’s Holiday Dine

In Hollywood Studios, Hollywood & Vine turns its character buffet into Minnie’s Holiday Dine for the season, with Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto in holiday outfits. This year it starts November 4, 2026, so it’s running over Thanksgiving. Last year it cost about $63 per adult and $42 per child. It’s one of the most kid-focused holiday meals on property, and the buffet makes it easy to feed everyone quickly.

04 Disney Resort Restaurants: Thanksgiving Menus

Several Disney resort restaurants switch to a special menu on Thanksgiving Day. Disney hadn’t announced the 2026 resort menus when we wrote this, but last year’s lineup gives you a good idea of what to expect:

  • Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge): A holiday skillet with turkey, pulled pork, and sides plus a dessert sampler, served noon to 10 p.m. Last Thanksgiving it was about $47 per adult and $28 per child. The playful, noisy dining room is a hit with kids.
  • Ale & Compass (Yacht Club): A Thanksgiving menu last year.
  • Sanaa (Animal Kingdom Lodge): Tandoori-style turkey on Thanksgiving, with savanna views that kids enjoy.
  • Steakhouse 71 (Contemporary) and Olivia’s Cafe (Old Key West): Thanksgiving menus last year.

Check each restaurant’s menu in the My Disney Experience app as the date gets close, since these special menus are announced late.

05 Disney Springs: Thanksgiving Dinner Outside the Parks

Disney Springs is the easiest place for Thanksgiving dinner if you don’t want to use a park day. For 2026, Disney has confirmed Thanksgiving turkey dinners on November 26 at Paddlefish, Terralina Crafted Italian, and City Works Eatery & Pour House. Last year’s Thanksgiving prices ranged from about $35 per adult at City Works to $45 at Raglan Road, with kids’ prices roughly half.

Disney Springs restaurants aren’t all Disney-run, so some set their own kids’ age ranges. Check when you book.

06 The Walt Disney World Swan: Thanksgiving Buffet

The Swan and Dolphin sit right between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, so they’re still inside the bubble even though Disney doesn’t run them. For Thanksgiving 2026, Garden Grove at the Swan is hosting a holiday buffet with roasted turkey, glazed ham, seared grouper, and made-to-order Mickey waffles for the kids. Other Swan and Dolphin restaurants, including Bourbon Steak and Amare, have turkey dishes on their Thanksgiving menus.

Two things to know: you book through the Swan and Dolphin website or OpenTable, not the Disney app, and Garden Grove doesn’t take the Disney Dining Plan. Prices weren’t published when we wrote this, so check when you book.

The Splurge Option

Four Seasons Orlando

The Four Seasons sits on Disney property near Magic Kingdom, and its holiday buffets are the most elaborate in the area. Last year the Thanksgiving buffet at Ravello was about $160 per adult and $55 per child. It’s a big treat, not a budget pick, but it’s an option if you want a quiet, upscale Thanksgiving dinner away from the parks.

Thanksgiving Dinner at Disney World Without a Reservation

If you didn’t book in time, or you’d rather keep the day flexible, you can still find a turkey plate without a reservation. These options also cost a fraction of a table-service meal.

  • Disney resort food courts: Last year, most resort food courts served a turkey dinner plate on Thanksgiving Day only, including Everything POP at Pop Century, Landscape of Flavors at Art of Animation, the All-Star food courts, Centertown Market at Caribbean Beach, and Riverside Mill at Port Orleans. Use mobile order to skip the line.
  • Satu’li Canteen (Animal Kingdom): Served a turkey dinner bowl on Thanksgiving last year, and it’s one of the best quick-service spots in any park on a normal day.
  • Turkey legs: Magic Kingdom and EPCOT sell turkey legs every day. It’s not a traditional dinner, but kids think it’s hilarious, and one is easy to share.
  • Disney Springs counter service: For 2026, Earl of Sandwich has a Holiday Turkey Sandwich through January 8, The Polite Pig has an open-face turkey smash from November 11 through January 11, and Splitsville has Thanksgiving leftovers egg rolls through November 29.

One thing that won’t help on the day: EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 to December 30, 2026, so its holiday kitchens open the day after Thanksgiving. If you’re staying through the weekend, it’s a fun way to stretch the holiday. Our guide to Christmas dinner at Disney World covers the festival and the rest of the holiday season.

Disney’s holiday treats also start in early November, so they’re out by Thanksgiving. The Gingerbread Milkshake at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in Magic Kingdom runs from November 8 this year and makes a food court dinner feel a lot more festive. For snacks worth a stop any time of year, see our guide to must-try food and drinks at Disney World.

Planning Thanksgiving Around a Busy Park Day

Thanksgiving week is one of the most crowded times of the year at Disney World. A holiday meal fits best when it’s the anchor of a lighter day, not squeezed between rope drop and fireworks. A few ways to make it work:

  • Use a resort or Disney Springs meal as a break day. You skip the busiest park crowds and still get a proper turkey dinner.
  • Book a park meal for lunch and leave early. A long, filling lunch followed by a pool afternoon is easier on little kids than a late dinner.
  • Keep your phone charged. Mobile order, the walk-up waitlist, and your tickets all run on the app, and a crowded day drains batteries fast. The Anker Nano power bank from our power bank guide has a built-in cable, or the Anker MagGo if your family uses iPhones.

Pro Tip

Staying at the Swan, Dolphin, or a nearby hotel can make a Thanksgiving meal there easy to reach. You can compare Disney resorts and nearby hotels for your dates on Expedia.

Real Parent Perspective

On one early trip we packed reservations into every day, and even character meals started to lose their magic after a few in a row. That’s why we’d plan one special holiday meal and keep the rest of the day simple. Some of our favorite meal memories are the unplanned ones anyway, like our youngest grabbing Donald Duck’s mouth during a photo at Chef Mickey’s.

Decision Guide

Which Thanksgiving Meal Fits Your Family?

Book a Table If…

  • A sit-down turkey dinner is part of your family tradition
  • You want characters at the meal
  • You can commit to a time and plan the day around it
  • Your kids do better with a big, relaxed meal than with snacks on the go

Go Walk-Up If…

  • You booked late and the tables are gone
  • You want to keep the day flexible for naps or rides
  • You’re watching the budget
  • A turkey plate and a holiday treat feel like enough of a celebration

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • ✕Waiting to book. Thanksgiving dinner times go first, so set a reminder for your 60-day window.
  • ✕Booking a park restaurant without a park ticket for that day. You need admission to get in.
  • ✕Looking for the Swan buffet in the Disney app. It’s booked through the Swan and Dolphin or OpenTable.
  • ✕Planning on EPCOT’s festival booths for Thanksgiving dinner. The festival starts the next day.
  • ✕Stacking a late turkey dinner after a full park day with young kids. Lunch is usually the happier choice.
The Bottom Line

Book one Thanksgiving meal that matters, and keep the rest of the day easy.

For a guaranteed Thanksgiving dinner at Disney World, Liberty Tree Tavern serves turkey every day of the year, and Garden Grill adds characters to the meal. Disney Springs and the Swan are great if you’d rather not use a park day.

If you missed the reservation window, a resort food court turkey plate or a Disney Springs holiday sandwich still gets you a Thanksgiving meal, and a gingerbread milkshake makes it feel festive.
